The Vagaries of Unity
A very unremarkable village in Zabaykalsky Krai, Arkhangelsk sits neatly between two lakes in the densely forested hills of southern Siberia. The population is around 600 – 800 people. The main sights there are a grocery store, a small inn, two big concrete blocks and a monument to the residents of the village who died in the Great Patriotic War.
It is the sort of small community where many people know each other, but most act nervously towards outsiders. Though the news of the three outlanders who beat up Dmitri and his gang has spread, the Heroes are still met with slight suspicion.
It seems that most folks make a living working in the sawmill or working at the Collective Farm. A little ways from the village is a resort area dotted with old fashioned wooden cottages.
